Project Overview:

EdgeEntity is an innovative health and beauty brand based in Australia, dedicated to helping individuals with hair thinning and baldness regain confidence with their expertly crafted hair growth products. Each product is blended daily with the finest ingredients, designed to rejuvenate thinning areas and promote healthier, fuller hair. The brand prides itself on its fresh, personalized approach to beauty, making each product tailored to meet specific needs. However, despite its success in the market, the brand’s online presence was struggling to meet its potential.


The website’s design had become outdated, the information was scattered, and the e-commerce platform wasn’t delivering an optimal shopping experience. Recognising the importance of a modern, user-friendly, and informative online presence, Edge Entity decided to embark on a comprehensive website redesign. The goal was to create a fresh, clean, and modern design that not only looked appealing but also made it easier for customers to navigate and make informed purchasing decisions.

The Problem:

The website faced several key challenges:


Outdated Design and User Experience: The website had an old, dated look and feel that did not align with the brand's innovative image. Visitors found the design unappealing, which led to a poor first impression.

Cluttered Product Pages: The product pages were not well-structured, lacking proper categorisation of information, making it difficult for potential customers to understand product benefits, ingredients, and usage instructions. Additionally, product reviews were not prominently displayed, making it hard for users to assess product quality.

Inefficient Sitemap and Navigation: The site lacked clear navigation, and the sitemap was confusing. Visitors had trouble finding products, learning about the brand’s key offerings, or even accessing customer testimonials and success stories.

Underutilisation of Social Proof: Despite the growing importance of social media and customer reviews, the website had little integration of video testimonials or social proof. This meant that prospective buyers had no insights into the experiences of others who had used the products.

E-commerce Experience: The e-commerce functionality needed improvement. Customers struggled to find the right products, and the purchase process was clunky and not optimised for conversion.

The Solution:

To address these issues, we undertook a comprehensive redesign of the website, with the goal of creating a more modern, user-friendly, and informative online presence that would drive engagement, build trust, and increase conversions.

Boost Visibility: Optimise the website for search engines, helping Thermopools reach more potential customers.

Design Update – A Fresh, Modern, and Clean Look:

The first step in the project was to update the overall design. The old website design was replaced with a sleek, clean, and modern aesthetic. The goal was to create a visually appealing site that reflected the freshness and natural ingredients of the brand’s products. The design incorporated:


Minimalistic Layouts: Clean white spaces, simple typography, and high-quality imagery of products and results created a modern and fresh atmosphere.

Branding Consistency: The colour scheme, fonts, and graphics were aligned with the brand’s identity to reinforce recognition and trust.

Sitemap Update – Clear and Logical Navigation:

The sitemap was revamped to improve user flow and make navigation intuitive. Key updates included:


Mega Menu for Shop Categories: A dynamic mega menu was created to showcase the product categories clearly. The shop was segmented by criteria such as product type (shampoos, oils, treatments), hair concern (bald spots, thinning areas, overall hair health), and even ingredients (organic, vegan, natural).

Easy Access to Key Sections: Visitors could now easily access product categories, ingredients lists, testimonials, and the FAQ section. The site structure was designed to guide users seamlessly through their journey.

Product Page Redesign – Clear Information and Reviews:

One of the biggest changes was to the e-commerce product pages. Each page was completely revamped to ensure clarity and ease of use:


Detailed Product Information: Each product now had a clean, easy-to-read layout, with sections dedicated to key ingredients, usage instructions, and the specific benefits of the product for hair growth. This allowed customers to make informed decisions before purchasing.

Incorporating Product Reviews: A prominent section for user reviews was added, allowing customers to see real-world feedback and testimonials. Star ratings and detailed written reviews gave potential buyers confidence in the product.

Highlighting Product USPs: The unique selling propositions (USPs) of each product were showcased to help customers understand the brand’s edge, such as the freshness of ingredients, the use of natural botanicals, and the focus on rapid results for hair growth.

Social Media Integration and Testimonials – Building Trust:

Recognising the power of social proof, we integrated social media into the website to build credibility and trust:


Video and Text Testimonials: Customer success stories were highlighted throughout the site, with embedded video testimonials from real users sharing their journeys with the brand. These videos showcased the tangible results of using the products, reinforcing the efficacy of the brand's solutions.

Instagram Feed Integration: A live feed from the brand’s Instagram was added to the homepage and product pages, showing real-time customer posts and before-and-after results, encouraging user interaction and engagement.

Before-and-After Galleries: We also created galleries to display before-and-after photos submitted by customers who had seen results from using the products.

Modern E-Commerce Experience – Seamless Shopping:

To improve the user experience and increase conversions, we focused on optimising the e-commerce platform:


Simplified Checkout Process: The checkout process was streamlined to make it as quick and easy as possible. Multiple payment options, including credit cards and PayPal, were incorporated, and the form was simplified to reduce friction.

Product Recommendations: We added a ‘Frequently Bought Together’ section and cross-sell suggestions on each product page to encourage users to explore other products that would complement their purchase.

Mobile-Optimised Design: Given the high volume of mobile users, the entire website was fully responsive, ensuring a smooth and seamless shopping experience on phones and tablets.

The Results

The redesigned website was launched with overwhelming success, and the results were immediately visible:


Increased Organic Traffic: With improved SEO, the site saw an increase in organic traffic, especially from users searching for hair growth solutions. Search rankings improved, especially for long-tail keywords such as “best shampoo for thinning hair” and “natural treatments for bald spots.”


Lower Bounce Rates: With a more intuitive layout, clearer product information, and faster load times, the bounce rate decreased significantly. Visitors were more likely to stay on the site longer, engage with the content, and explore the products.


Higher Conversion Rates: The new design, improved navigation, and social proof elements led to higher conversions. Customers were not only purchasing products more frequently, but they were also more confident in their decisions, thanks to the detailed product descriptions and customer testimonials.


More Engagement Through Social Media: The integration of video testimonials and the live Instagram feed drove more interaction and engagement on social media, fostering a stronger sense of community around the brand.


Improved Customer Satisfaction: The easier navigation, transparent information, and faster checkout process led to a better overall customer experience, resulting in an increase in repeat purchases and customer loyalty.

The website redesign successfully transformed the user experience, aligning the brand’s online presence with its modern, fresh, and sustainable approach to hair care. By focusing on design, user experience, social proof, and streamlined e-commerce functionality, we helped the brand build trust with customers, drive sales, and create a more engaging, informative, and visually appealing site.
